This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps that J&S Toilet Hire has taken and continues to take to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking is not taking place within our business or supply chain.

Modern slavery encompasses slavery, servitude, human trafficking, and forced labour. J&S Toilet Hire has a zero-tolerance approach to any form of modern slavery. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity and transparency in all business dealings and to putting effective systems and controls in place to safeguard against any form of modern slavery taking place within our business or supply chain.

J&S Toilet Hire is a provider of portable sanitation solutions, welfare units, and luxury toilet trailers operating in the South East of England. Our services include:

• Construction site portable toilets
• Event portable toilets
• Luxury toilet trailers for weddings and special events
• Disabled access portable toilets
• Welfare units for construction and commercial sites
• Waste management and removal services

We are based in Billericay, Essex, and serve clients across Essex, London, Kent, Surrey, Sussex, and surrounding counties.

Our supply chain includes:

• Manufacturers and suppliers of portable toilet units and welfare units
• Suppliers of cleaning chemicals and sanitation products
• Vehicle and equipment maintenance providers
• Waste disposal and treatment facilities
• Professional services providers (accountants, legal advisors, etc.)

We are committed to ensuring that our suppliers and contractors share our values and commitment to preventing modern slavery.

We operate the following policies that contribute to ensuring modern slavery does not occur:

• Anti-Slavery Policy: We maintain a clear policy prohibiting slavery and human trafficking in all forms.
• Recruitment Policy: We verify the eligibility of all employees to work in the UK and ensure fair employment practices.
• Whistleblowing Policy: We encourage all employees, customers, and suppliers to report any concerns related to modern slavery without fear of retaliation.
• Supplier Code of Conduct: We expect our suppliers to adhere to ethical business practices and comply with all applicable laws regarding slavery and human trafficking.

As part of our efforts to monitor and reduce the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring within our supply chain, we have implemented the following due diligence processes:

• Conducting risk assessments on new suppliers before entering into contracts, including evaluation of their anti-slavery practices
• Requiring suppliers to confirm their compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 where applicable
• Periodically reviewing existing supplier relationships to ensure ongoing compliance with our ethical standards
• Verifying the right to work status of all employees and workers
• Ensuring that all employees are paid at least the National Living Wage and are treated fairly
• Maintaining clear and transparent employment contracts

We have assessed our business and supply chain to identify potential risks of modern slavery. Given the nature of our business as a UK-based service provider primarily using UK-based suppliers, we consider our risk to be relatively low. However, we remain vigilant and continue to:

• Monitor our supply chain for any indicators of forced labour or exploitation
• Review the labour practices of suppliers, particularly those in higher-risk sectors
• Maintain awareness of the signs of modern slavery and how to report concerns
• Work only with reputable suppliers who demonstrate a commitment to ethical business practices

We ensure that our staff are aware of modern slavery issues through:

• Training on how to identify potential signs of modern slavery
• Clear guidance on how to report any concerns or suspicions

We measure the effectiveness of our anti-slavery measures through the following key indicators:

• Number of suppliers assessed for modern slavery risks
• Percentage of staff who have received modern slavery awareness training
• Number of reports or concerns raised through our whistleblowing procedure
• Completion of supplier due diligence checks

We are pleased to report that during the financial year 2025/2026, no instances of modern slavery were identified within our business or supply chain.

This statement has been approved by the management of J&S Toilet Hire and will be reviewed and updated annually.

We are committed to continuously improving our practices to combat slavery and human trafficking and will update this statement as necessary to reflect any changes in our approach or circumstances.
